Welcome to my website!

I have worked as an auditor and audit manager in the private sector for many years.  I believe my corporate audit management experience will be a benefit to North Dakota as your State Auditor.  I became a Certified Internal Auditor early in my career, and I have completed numerous auditing and audit management courses.  I have served on local and international audit committees, and I will use my work experience and education to provide improved audit leadership and support to the Office of the State Auditor.

I look forward to giving back to the state where I was born and where I raised my family.  My leadership style and experience will provide new ideas and a refreshing change.  We can't keep doing things the way they've always been done.  I will evaluate exisiting practices and work hard to communicate needs of the State Auditor's office to the state legislative body, so that we can better serve the citizens of North Dakota.  An audit staff that is given the proper resources can save our state money and time.  We should spend our precious time and resources on improving our agency services, not defending our services.

I pledge to work with the legislature to streamline the agency and yet provide services that the communities and citizens of North Dakota can depend on.  We will provide accurate and fair audits.  I understand the benefits of certification, continuing education and training, and I will help build up the respect the audit staff deserves.
